What is Esports? What is esports at Northwestern?
These camps are for players who are serious about gameplay improvement and growth as a competitor, teammate, and leader. Students will experience collegiate level esports training, and have the opportunity to showcase their talent to Northwestern’s varsity esports recruiters during daily 5v5 scrimmages.
Campers will also receive a year of Q&A access to the Northwestern Esports coaching staff via our camp discord.

Q: How is practicing esports different from playing video games?
A: What distinguishes practice from play is the intentional pursuit of improvement.
Q: I've never played Overwatch before, can I still participate?
A: Prior experience playing Overwatch is required for this camp.
Q: Will I just be playing video games the whole time?
A: No. A key component of this camp are coaching and discussion sessions that will take place outside of the video game.
